Kubudo tournament held at the University of London. Individuals and teams came from all around the UK and Europe to compete in this prestigious tournament.
Art of Movement Kata and Kubudo Tournament - March 2009

Our team consisted of Kathy Turtle, Chi Tam, Steve Gurney, Cathy Lawson, Anna Kibler and Raquel Fulgoni. They did the club
proud by all coming away with a medal and in some cases more than one. Cathy, Anna and Raquel won gold and Steve, Chi and Kathy won bronze in
the senior team kata; Anna won gold in the individual dan grade kubudo and silver in the individual dan grade kata; and finally Chi won
bronze in the individual kyu grade kubudo. Well done to all of them.Seiki-Juku Tournament Success - November 2008
In November a number of students from the Club competed in the
Annual Seiki-Juku Tournament held at the Excel Centre, Walton. A highlight of the day was Connor Shergold entering his first ever
competition and coming away with first place. A great achievement and very well deserved. The Club also came away with a
number of other trophies. A very well done to all those who entered.Supporting Cancer Research UK - September 2008

In September the Karate Club supported Cancer Research UK by performing at their charity
event held in Burpham, Guildford. On the day there was a charity auction which the club donated over £350 worth of
lessons which were snapped up by some keen bidders.Black Belt Success - August 2008
There was Black Belt success at this years Summer Course in Hampton with Ashley Rowe, Robin Kibler,
Johnathon Foreman, Maddie Taylor, Nathan Jones and Kathy Turtle all passing their 1st Dan Black Belt grading. Well done to all of them for their hard work
and dedication which led to this fantastic achievement.Guildford club leave the rest doubled up - Nation Team Championships - March 2008
The Guildford Club were celebrating after their national team title. The Club pulled off an
unprecedented triumph at the championships held in High Wycombe. Competing against opposition from all over the Country, defending senior team kata
champions Raquel Fulgoni, Anna Kibler and Cathy Lawless came out on top again to follow their victory in 2007. The girls did the club proud and
all their hard work and dedication leading up to the competition paid off.
